Miss Florence's Tree

Each year new artists are asked to do a palette for the Florence Griswold Museum.
I was so excited to be a part of it this year.  
For my palette , I used acrylic paint, (the first time for me) and had fun making this red: layers upon layers.  Then I drilled holes in the palette.  I rolled lots of pieces of sterling wire through the rolling mill.  Then I pierced them through the palette.


I heated the other end of the wires with a torch to secure the pieces. The delicate sterling wires dangle and shimmer.    Check out Miss Florence's Tree at the Florence Griswold Museum
