It was serendipitous to meet Susan Lomuto.
She writes a beautiful, carefully curated blog on
"handcrafted excellence".
She walked into my shop and we had a great exchange. She was drawn to a piece of bark that was on display and I shared my process with her and showed her the ring it inspired. She had just scoured the beach on her retreat and collected
100s of pieces of the same bark!

Gold in Guilford

Thank you all for visiting us at the Guilford show!

I am loving these raw diamonds

I like the concept of raw diamonds,
such a precious thing but left raw.
The surprise, the juxtaposition.
This is a mobile pendant I did with forged sterling.

Letters to your kids

Just stumbled onto this blog. This Dad has written letters to his young children right after they were born to share with them as they get older. What a great idea. Check it out, he is hoping it will be contagious for you to do and share with the next generation... http://letterstomykids.org/

Gotta love Job Lot. Who would think you could find vintage postcards there? From Walt Whitman to James Dean to mailing a crocodile to ladies dancing in bird cages...What a fun find!
