This is from an interview on http://www.wnpr.org/ with Mathew Modine. I want to share what he said because I totally agree. I am summarizing...He was talking about acting. He studied with Stella Adler and she said to create from your imagination. The more you put in, the bigger your imagination can be. Go to museums, read, listen to music, study art, the more you go out and experience life the more vivid your imagination can become so you will have more to draw from to create...It makes sense. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in life and forget to do other things than work, but, if you do those other things, they can add to your work not to mention your life! He is in To Kill a Mockingbird now at http://www.hartfordstage.org/

Harold and the Purple Crayon

One of my favorite stories.
A simple tale about one boy and the
adventure he creates with a purple crayon.
It's a great lesson on how one doesn't need
much more than imagination.
Created in 1955 by Crockett Johnson.
